Terms & Condition

  • For Organiser ( Please choose the correct category )
  1. All CPD applications must be submitted to MAVMA at least 14 days prior to the event.
  2. RM10 penalty will be imposed for a late CPD application submission (less than 14 days from event or application after the event).
  3. MAVMA reserves the right to reject any incomplete/late application.
  4. All information furnished is true, complete and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.
  5. In the event of my information being found false or incorrect at any stage, my application shall beliable to cancellation / termination without notice or any compensation in lieu thereof.
  6. In the case that an application is rejected due to incomplete documentation, failure to meet CPD requirements, or considered as product training, fees paid will be forfeited.

  1. All CPD applications must be submitted to MAVMA no later than 14 days after the event.
  2. RM10 penalty will be imposed for a late CPD application submission (more than 14 days from the event)
  3. MAVMA reserves the right to reject any incomplete/late application.

Refund Policy

  • Any payment made for CPD application, membership registration, and membership subscription is not refundable.

What is CPD?

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. In 2015, the Malaysian Veterinary Council (MVC) has appointed Malaysian Veterinary Medical Association (MAVMA) to be the coordinator for the assessment and to award CPD point for any related event to the veterinary fraternity in Malaysia.

Why is the Malaysian Veterinary Council (MVC) Insisting that registered veterinary surgeons show evidence of CPD before it will grant the APC [Annual Practice Certificate]?

The Guiding Principle of CPD is that all Veterinary Surgeons must, for the betterment of their professional standing, keep up with ever-growing knowledge and developments relevant to their fields of practice.

How many points do I need to apply for APC renewal?

Starting for year 2018 for 2019 APC renewal, 50 CPD point is needed and 30 points for applicant above 60 years old. Please refer to MVC Directives no. 1/2016.

What points can be carried forward for APC renewal?

Excess points obtained between October 1st - September 30th every year. (50 CPD points are needed for the 2019 APC onwards).

How do I apply for CPD point after attended paid/free local or overseas seminar/work/conference?

Paid seminar/workshop/conference means the organiser of the event imposed certain fees for you to participate. 

Free local or oversea seminar/workshops/conference means the organiser does not impose any fee for the event.

Please proceed to the online CPD application and select CPD Application "For Individual" to claim your CPD Points. An RM10 processing fee will be imposed. 

 

How do I apply for CPD point for paid conference/seminar/workshop for my association/company?

Please proceed to the online CPD application and select the "CPD Application – Organiser" option; different fees will apply based on your organiser category, and applications must be submitted at least 14 days before the event, with a RM10 penalty imposed for late submissions.

My company is organising a free seminar for my client. How do I apply for the CPD point for my client?

Please proceed to the online CPD application and select "CPD Application – Organiser (Commercial Companies Paid/Free/Non-Affiliated Events)"; a processing fee of RM100 will be charged, and the application must be submitted at least 14 days before the event. A RM10 penalty will be imposed for late submissions.

My company is sponsoring our clients/veterinarians to attend paid conference/seminar overseas. How do I apply for the CPD point for my client?

It is recommended that each veterinarian applies individually. They can access the online CPD application and select CPD Application "For Individual". Please note that a processing fee of RM10 will be charged for each application.
